The BES Regional Meeting will, this year, be a three day conference, adding to its programme, the postponed Spring Scientific Meeting. The Meeting will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon. The Meeting will consist of an exciting scientific programme, a poster display on the Thursday, an exhibition, and a Dinner on the Friday night with a live band. Delegates will have the option of registering for the Thursday only; the Friday and Saturday; or all three days. Raj Rattan MBE BDS MFGDP FFGDP Dip.MDE FICD FFFLM
Raj Rattan is a dentist whose clinical and managerial experience stems from many years as a multiple practice owner. He is a former Strategic Associate Dean at the London Deanery and had been involved in postgraduate education for over 20 years.
He has provided consultancy services to various organisations including the NHS, Denplan, and dental corporates. He was a policy adviser at Department of Health around the time Options for Change was published. In 2011, one of his practices was selected as a Pilot site for contract reform.
He has been a dentolegal adviser at Dental Protection for some 20 years and is currently the Dental Director. He is the author/co-author of numerous articles and textbooks and has lectured extensively throughout the UK and overseas.
Aims and objectives:
• to review aspects of ethical clinical decision-making in endodontics
• to discuss effective risk management strategies in endodontics
• to review common dento-legal challenges in endodontics including
consent and clinical communications
