We welcome Dr Sanjeev Bhanderi as the new BES President 2020/21

“As outgoing President of theBritish Endodontic Society, I am delighted to hand over the badge of office to Dr Sanj Bhanderi. We have accomplished this in a quiet location, without an audience, but with due ceremony as is fitting and necessary as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, which has severely curtailed normal daily activities.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my fellow committee officers and members, family, friends and colleagues for their support and help during my successful year of office.

My most sincere best wishes and gratitude goes to our Society Administrator – Annabel Thomas – who works tirelessly on behalf of the BES and without whom we would not be the effective Society we are, and less of a positive influence for good within endodontics in the UK.

Your new President Sanj is a long-standing friend, a clinician of great talent and an inspiring teacher of endodontics. As we all cope with the challenges of Covid-19, I am confident that our new President will show courage and leadership to ensure that the BES is well represented at at a national level within dental politics.

Despite the regrettable and untimely necessity to have to cancel the Spring Scientific Meeting earlier this month, Sanj is projecting an even grander occasion than was originally planned in Statford-upon-Avon when he will host his regional meeting later this year in November.

I wish him every success in his year of office!

My sincere thanks and best wishes

Mark J Hunter

Past President BES
