International Endodontic Journal

The Society is sorry to inform you that there will be a temporary cessation of members receiving the IEJ in the post as this message has just been sent by the Wiley Publishing Manager for the IEJ.

‘As more and more people are affected by COVID-19 restrictions, I am writing to share an important update on decisions Wiley is making to manage publishing operations during the pandemic.

The move to work-from-home practices in many regions globally, often in combination with country-wide lockdowns, is leading to disruption throughout the publishing workflow. Wiley leadership is meeting daily to assess the situation and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. I will keep you informed as decisions are taken.

Right now, the most acute challenge relates to the distribution of print content. In many countries, distribution of print materials is suspended, making it impossible to ensure copies reach intended destinations. Fewer passenger flights and the need to prioritize medical supplies has also reduced the availability of air freight. And finally, but perhaps most importantly, we feel that it is important to reduce pressure on our printers and other supply-chain vendors to send their employees to work and increase their risk of exposure to the virus.

Given these obstacles and concerns, Wiley has made the decision to suspend all printing and distribution of journal issues until further notice.  The majority of print customers have access to Wiley Online Library already. We are working hard to help those users relying on print only to access publications digitally.

I will continue to update you as the situation evolves and will let you know as soon as possible when we plan to return to normal operations’.
