Dr Claudio Peru

I graduated from Cagliari University, Italy in 1999. I worked in general practice both in Italy and England before embarking upon a full time Master degree course in Endodontics in 2001 at King’s College London, under the supervision of the late Professor PittFord, following which I was included in the GDC Specialist list in endodontics.

Between 2003 and 2012 I was a clinical teacher in endodontics at Guy’s hospital in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. During this time I was working under Prof Manocci, providing training to specialist trainees in endodontics.

I am committed to postgraduate education and hold lectures and study groups in endodontics to referring practitioners in Hertfordshire, London and the South East.
 I am currently a member of the British Endodontic Society

I established UK Dental Specialists @Chiswell Green in 2009, in St Albans, Hertfordshire. This is a purely specialist referral centre, which now employs 12 specialists, in endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics and restorative consultants.

This lecture will cover the five essential steps to establishing a successful referral practice:
-Planning a referral centre
-management of the clinical collaboration between GDPs and specialists
-Staffing
-maintaining relationship with referring clinicians
-maximising profit
