Delivered by Rahul Patel, Endodontist and Honorary Treasurer of the British Endodontic Society, this session will take a clear, practical look at two widely used obturation techniques.
The discussion will:
- Outline the advantages and limitations of warm vertical condensation and single cone techniques to support optimal sealing
- Explore material properties and how technique selection should adapt to individual clinical situations
- Support you in making informed decisions for more predictable and successful obturation
The aim is simple: to clarify when each technique is most appropriate, taking into account root anatomy, local anatomical structures, clinician skillset and time pressures in practice. Expect a balanced, evidence-based perspective that respects the reality of day-to-day clinical dentistry.
